Ratha Sapthami is a 1986 Kannada-language Drama Musical motion picture written by Vidyullatha Sasanoor, P. Vasu and Chi. Udaya Shankar. The movie is directed by M. S. Rajashekar and produced by S. A. Govindaraj. An aspiring singer, who belongs to a poor household, falls in love with a girl from an affluent family. However, her father disapproves of their relationship. Ratha sapthami features Shivarajkumar, Asharani, Asha Rani, Balaraj, Doddanna, Srinath and Shiva Rajkumar. The music was composed by Upendra Kumar. Cinematography was done by V. K. Kannan and editing by P. Bhakthavathsalam. The motion picture has a running time of 150 minutes. It was released on 12th December 1986.
