Sagina is a 1974 Hindi-language Musical Drama film written and directed by Tapan Sinha and produced by J.k. Kapur. Sagina a factory laborer,an aggressive, honest and lovable character who was the first to fight against the tyranny of the British bosses in the Tea gardens of North-Eastern India. Sagina stars Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Aparna Sen, Anil Chatterjee, Swarup Dutta, Chinmoy Roy and Om Prakash Chibber. The screenplay is written by Tapan Sinha. The music was composed by Sachin Dev Burman along with S. D. Burman. Cinematography was done by Bimal Mukherjee and editing by Subodh Roy. It was released on 15th July 1974.
