Savages is a 2012 English-language Crime Drama motion picture written and directed by Oliver Stone and produced by Eric Kopeloff, Moritz Borman and Eric Copeloff under the banner of Relativity Media in collaboration with Ixtlan Productions. The film follows two marijuana growers, Chon, an ex-Navy SEAL and Ben, who are best friends, as they confront the Mexican drug cartel in order to free their shared girlfriend kidnapped by them. Savages stars Taylor Kitsch in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Blake Lively, Aaron Johnson, John Travolta, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek and Aaron Taylor-johnson. The screenplay is written by Shane Salerno, Oliver Stone and Don Winslow which is inspired from Savages by Don Winslow. The music was composed by Adam Peters.
