Second Chances is a 2013 Filipino-language Drama film written by Carmi G. Raymundo, Vanessa R. Valdez and Cathy Garcia-molina. The movie is directed by Cathy Garcia-molina and produced by Charo Santos-concio and Malou N. Santos under the banner of ABS-CBN Film Productions in collaboration with Inc. A badly injured leg forces hunky fireman Jeff, who lost his father in a fire as a young boy, to rent a ground floor room during his recovery. Thus he moves in with divorcée Jenny, a 911 emergency call center operator, and her fatherless young children, Luke and Elsie, who soon dote on him as an ideal substitute father and try matching him with their mother. She recognizes his good influence but fears another breakup would be too hard. Jeff's retired former fire chief 'Buddy' being in the home where the kids read books to earn money ultimately works wonders. Written by KGF Vissers. Second chances features John Lloyd Cruz in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Bea Alonzo, Alison Sweeney, Greg Vaughan, Edward Asner, Benjamin Stockham and Charlotte Labadie. The music was composed by Cesar Francis S. Concio. Cinematography was done by Noel Teehankee and editing by Marya Ignacio. The motion picture has a running time of 130 minutes. It was released on 31st January 2013 in Filipino and English languages. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Star Cinema.
