Solace is a 2015 English-language Crime Drama film written by Ted Griffin and directed by Afonso Poyart and produced by Thomas Augsberger, Beau Flynn, Tripp Vinson, Matthias Emcke and Claudia Bluemhuber. A psychic doctor, John Clancy (Sir Anthony Hopkins), works with an F.B.I. Special Agent (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in search of serial killer Charles Ambrose (Colin Farrell). After having lived in isolation for two years, since the death of his daughter, Clancy is asked by his friend Joe, an F.B.I. Special Agent to help him solve several murders committed by a serial killer. The problem is that Ambrose is also psychic, and far ahead of Clancy. Solace features Anthony Hopkins in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Abbie Cornish, Colin Farrell, Matt Gerald, Jose Pablo Cantillo and Marley Shelton. The screenplay is written by Ted Griffin and Sean Bailey. The music was composed by Bt. Cinematography was done by Brendan Galvin and editing by Lucas Gonzaga. The motion picture has a running time of 101 minutes. It was released on 3rd September 2015. The film made a box office gross of $22 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Lionsgate Premiere.
