The Cell is a 2000 English-language Horror Sci-Fi motion picture written by Mark Protosevich and directed by Tarsem Singh Dhandwar and Tarsem Singh and produced by Julio Caro and Eric Mcleod under the banner of RadicalMedia. An FBI agent persuades a social worker, who is adept with a new experimental technology, to enter the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to learn where he has hidden his latest kidnap victim. The cell stars Jennifer Lopez in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Vince Vaughn, Vincent D'onofrio, Marianne Jean-baptiste, Jake Weber, Dylan Baker and Colton James. The music was composed by Howard Shore. Cinematography was done by Paul Laufer and editing by Robert Duffy and Paul Rubell. The movie has a running time of 107-109 minutes. It was released on 18th August 2000. The Cell was made on a budget of $33 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by New Line Cinema.
