The Exorcist is a 1973 English-language Horror film written by William Peter Blatty and Gauri Shinde. The movie is directed by Gauri Shinde and produced by William Peter Blatty, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde. And, book-ending the story, a frail, elderly priest recognizes the necessity for a show-down with an old demonic enemy. The exorcist stars Alia Bhatt in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Ellen Burstyn, Max Von Sydow, Lee J. Cobb, Kitty Winn, Jack Macgowran and Jason Miller. The screenplay is written by Gauri Shinde. The music was composed by Steve Boeddeker along with Amit Trivedi. Cinematography was done by Laxman Utekar and editing by Hemanti Sarkar.
