The Heart of Christmas is a 2011 English-language Drama Family motion picture written by Lance W. Dreesen and directed by Gary Wheeler and produced by Suzette Schafer, Charlie Schafer and Mark Burman under the banner of SlingShot Picture in collaboration with My Three Sons Film. The Locke family are devastated when they learn their 2-year-old son, Dax, has leukemia. The heart of christmas features Candace Cameron Bure in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Erin Bethea, Jeanne Neilson, Eric Jay Beck, George Newbern, Matthew West and Christopher Shone. The film is based on Locke family true story. The music was composed by Matthew West. Cinematography was done by Rob Givens and editing by Jonathan Olive. The movie has a running time of 107 minutes. It was released on 4th December 2011. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Image Entertainment.
