The Lost Jungle is a 1934 English-language Adventure Sci-Fi film written by Wyndham Gittens, David Howard, Barney A. Sarecky and Armand Schaefer. The movie is directed by David Howard and Armand Schaefer and produced by Nat Levine. Animal trainer Clyde Beatty heads a rescue party in search of his girl, Ruth, and her father who get lost looking for an uncharted island. His dirigible crashes into the jungles of the island. When he locates Ruth, he learns that her father has disappeared. The ensuing search is hindered by greedy gold hunters and wild animals. Written by Herman Seifer. The lost jungle features Clyde Beatty in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Cecilia Parker, Warner Richmond, Syd Saylor, Edward Lesaint, Wheeler Oakman and Lew Meehan. The music was composed by Lee Zahler. Cinematography was done by William Nobles and Alvin Wyckoff and editing by Earl Turner. The movie has a running time of 12 chapters. It was released on 22nd March 1934. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Mascot Pictures.
