The Mommy Returns is a 2012 Filipino-language Comedy film written by Senedy Que and directed by Joel Lamangan and Joel C. Lamangan and produced by Lily Monteverde and Roselle Monteverde-teo under the banner of Regal Entertainment. A woman dies on the night of her 25th wedding anniversary. From purgatory, she s that another woman is moving in on her husband and her family. Unable to accept that, she breaks out of purgatory and starts haunting the would-be usurper. The mommy returns stars Gabby Concepcion, Ruffa Gutierrez, Pokwang, Jillian Ward, Gloria Diaz, John Lapus and Jonas Gruet. The music was composed by Cesar Francis Concio. Cinematography was done by Mo Zee and editing by Vanessa De Leon and Tara Illenberger. The movie has a running time of 115 minutes. It was released on 9th May 2012. The film made a box office gross of ₱30 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Regal Entertainment.
