The Myth is a 2005 English-language Action Adventure movie written by Stanley Tong, Li Haishu and Hui-ling Wang. The movie is directed by Stanley Tong and produced by Barbie Tung, Jackie Chan, Solon So, Willie Chan, Yang Buting and Albert Yeung under the banner of JCE Movies Limited. The myth stars Jackie Chan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Tony Leung Ka-fai, Kim Hee-sun, Mallika Sherawat, Bing Shao, Weixing Yao and Jianzhong Zhang. The music was composed by Gary Chase along with Nathan Wang. Cinematography was done by Horace Wong, Ng Man-Ching, Michael Johnson, Lai Yiu-Fai and Choi Shung-Fai and editing by Yau Chi-Wai. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Emperor Motion Pictures.
