The New Kids is a 1985 English-language Drama Horror film written by Stephen Gyllenhaal and Brian Taggert. The movie is directed by Sean S. Cunningham and produced by Sean S. Cunningham, Barbara De Fina and Andrew Fogelson. A brother and sister arrive in a small town to help their relatives run an amusement park, and they find the town is terrorized by a local street gang. The new kids stars Shannon Presby, Lori Loughlin, James Spader, John Philbin, Eddie Jones, Eric Stoltz and Laurah Guillén. The music was composed by Michel Rubini along with Lalo Schifrin. Cinematography was done by Steven Poster. The motion picture has a running time of 89 minutes. It was released on 18th January 1985. The New Kids was made on a budget of $6 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
