The Social Network is a 2010 English-language Biography Drama movie written by Aaron Sorkin and Ben Mezrich. The movie is directed by David Fincher and produced by Ceán Chaffin, Dana Brunetti, Scott Rudin, Michael De Luca and Ce N Chaffin. Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg creates the social networking site that would become known as Facebook, but is later sued by two brothers who claimed he stole their idea, and the co-founder who was later squeezed out of the business. The social network stars Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Armie Hammer, Max Minghella, Rooney Mara and Thomas Dwyer. The screenplay is written by Aaron Sorkin which is inspired from The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Atticus Ross along with Trent Reznor. Cinematography was done by Jeff Cronenweth and editing by Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter. The film has a running time of 120 minutes. It was released on 12th November 2010 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Social Network was made on a budget of $40 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $224 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Sony Pictures Releasing. At the 2011 Oscar Awards It won 3 awards including: Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay, Best Achievement in Film Editing and Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score. At the 2011 BAFTA Awards It also won an award for Best Director.
