Weird Science is a 1985 English-language Comedy Romance motion picture written and directed by John Hughes and produced by Joel Silver under the banner of Silver Pictures in collaboration with Hughes Entertainment. Weird science features Anthony Michael Hall, Ilan Mitchell-smith, Kelly Lebrock, Bill Paxton, Robert Downey Jr., Suzanne Snyder and Kimberly L. Ryusaki. The film is based on Made of the Future by Al Feldstein. The music was composed by Ira Newborn. Cinematography was done by Matthew F. Leonetti and editing by Chris Lebenzon, Mark Warner and Scott K. Two unpopular teenagers, Gary Wallace and Wyatt Donnelly, fail at all attempts to be accepted by their peers. Their desperation to be liked leads them to create a woman via their computer. Their living and breathing creation is a gorgeous woman, Lisa, whose purpose is to boost their confidence level by putting them into situations which require Gary and Wyatt to act like men.
