Wonder Man is a 1945 English-language Comedy Fantasy movie written by Don Hartman, Melville Shavelson, Philip Rapp, Jack Jevne, Eddie Moran and Arthur Sheekman. The movie is directed by H. Bruce Humberstone and produced by Samuel Goldwyn under the banner of Samuel Goldwyn Productions. After being murdered by gangsters, an exuberant nightclub entertainer returns as a ghost to persuade his meek twin brother to help bring his killers to justice. Wonder man stars Danny Kaye in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Virginia Mayo, Vera-ellen, Donald Woods, S.z. Sakall, Allen Jenkins and Edward Brophy. The screenplay is written by Jack Jevne and Eddie Moran. The music was composed by Ray Heindorf along with Heinz Roemheld. Cinematography was done by Victor Milner and William E. Snyder and editing by Daniel Mandell. The motion picture has a running time of 98 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Wonder Man was made on a budget of $1 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by RKO Radio Pictures. At the 1946 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Effects, Special Effects.
