Season 3
Season 3 begins with the big question: Is Nate Fisher really dead? As the surgical team struggles to control the massive haemorrhage in Nate’s brain, Nate finds himself wandering away from the operating room and into the various possible scenarios that might take place: dead in an open casket; surviving the operation but left partly paralyzed and unable to speak; or married to Brenda. Other scenarios also ensue: his father’s fatal car crash never happened; and in another scene, he’s a beer-bellied couch potato. He eventually encounters his father, Nathaniel (Jenkins) in the Slumber Room, where a closed casket awaits.
