Alot (Hindi: ) is a town and nagar panchayat in the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, India. Alot is located at 234544N 753336E / 23.7621400N 75.5599100E / 23.7621400; 75.5599100. Alot has a population of 40,948. Alot is home to the Shipwara temple and Dharola Mahadev temple. The temple of Shiva is more than 5,000 years old. It is said that Hanuman took rest here while picking Sanjivani Booti, leaving a footprint still visible. Every year on Kartik Purnima Alot holds a mela for a livestock market. There is a popular place for Jainism that is Nageshwar Unhel, about 8km from the main market. There are other temples "Ramsingh Darbarg", "Lakshminarayan Mandir (near Er. Sumit's home)", "Hanuman mandir" (near Bajrang Kirana stores) and Khedapati Hanuman Mandir.
