B.Kothakota is a town and a Mandal in Chittoor district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. B stands for "Beerangi" a small village close to Kothakota. B.Kothakota is famous for peanuts (groundnuts) and mills processing groundnuts and exporting them. Sankarapuram is a nearby village close to Beerangi village; where a loony man Sankaraiah died in early 80s and villagers built him a grave and a temple and a junior college with the funds generated by the temple.
