It is a joint venture between Network 18 and Lokmat Group, which runs the most read Marathi newspaper, Lokmat. IBN Lokmat was launched on 6 April 2008, the Gudi Padwa day. The channel is headed by Mandar Phanse and Mahesh Mhatre. IBN-Lokmat will embark on the principle of delivering news with the spirit of ‘Maharashtra Cha Mahachannel’
