Dalmau is a town and a nagar panchayat in Rae Bareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Dalmau is located at 2604N 8102E / 26.07N 81.03E / 26.07; 81.03. It has an average elevation of 115metres (377feet). It is holy place on the bank of river Ganges. The famous poet Surya Kant Tripathi 'Nirala' wrote poems sitting on the Top of the fort built by the King DalDev. As of 2001 India census, Dalmau had a population of 8968.
