Eklahare is a census town in Nashik district in the state of Maharashtra, India. As of 2001 India census,[1] Eklahare had a population of 12,010. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Eklahare has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 83%, and female literacy is 67%. In Eklahare, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age. Eklahare houses the Nashik Thermal Power Station . There is also the NTPS colony for the employees at the station. The thermal power station has rated capacity of 630 MW and has 3 units of 210 MW each. It uses a coal-fired boiler to produce steam for power generation.
