Anil Kapoor fondly known as Lakkhan made his debut as an actor in the film Hamare Tumhare (1979). It was in 1984 he became noticed and liked as an actor with the movie Mashaal which gave him stardom. There was no turning back after that and Anil Kapoor at present is considered a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Mashaal which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Anils career so far are Vamsa Vruksham (1980), Pallavi Anu Pallavi (1983), Meri Jung (1985), Yudh (1985), Karma (1986), Janbaaz (1986), Aap Ke Saath (1986), Mr. India (1987), Tezaab (1988), Ghar Ho To Aisa (1990), Awaargi (1990), Benaam Badsha (1991), Beta (1992), Virasat (1997), Taal (1999), Pukar (2000), No Entry (2005), Slumdog Millionaire (2008), and Dil Dhadakne Do (2015) to name a few. Kapoor son of producer Surinder Kapoor and Nirmal Kapoor was born on 24 December 1956 in Chembur, Mumbai. He completed his schooling at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour High School, Mumbai. He then went on to pursue his bachelors degree in St. Xaviers College, Mumbai.
