BIOGRAPHY

Cuba Mark Gooding Jr. professionally known as Cuba Gooding Jr. made his debut as an actor in the film Sing (1989). It was in 1996 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the film Jerry Maguire. There was no turning back after that and Gooding at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the ShoWest Convention - Special Award for Newcomer of the Year which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Goodings career so far are Boyz n the Hood (1991), A Few Good Men (1992), The Tuskegee Airmen (1995), Outbreak (1995), Jerry Maguire (1996), What Dreams May Come (1998), Men of Honor (2000) Pearl Harbor (2001), As Good as It Gets (1997), Rat Race (2001), Radio (2003), American Gangster (2007), The Butler (2013), and Selma (2014) to name a few. Gooding son of singer Shirley Sullivan and the lead vocalist of soul group The Main Ingredient Cuba Gooding Sr., was born on January 2, 1968, in The Bronx, New York City. He attended North Hollywood High School, Tustin High School, Apple Valley High School, and John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills in Los Angeles.
