BIOGRAPHY

Dustin Lee Hoffman professionally known as Dustin Hoffman made his debut as an actor in the series Naked City (1961). It was in 1967 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the film The Graduate. There was no turning back after that and Hoffman at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Golden Globe Awards for Most Promising Newcomer for The Graduate which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Hoffmans career so far are The Graduate (1967), Midnight Cowboy (1969), Little Big Man (1971), Papillon (1973), Lenny (1975), Laurence Olivier (1976), All the Presidents Men (1976), Tootsie (1982), Rain Man (1988), Dick Tracy (1990), Hook (1991), Outbreak (1995), Sleepers (1996), Wag the Dog (1997), Finding Neverland (2004), and Stranger than Fiction (2006) to name a few. Dustin Lee Hoffman son of Harry Hoffman and Lillian was born on August 8, 1937, in Los Angeles, California. He attended Los Angeles High School and graduated from there in the year 1955. He enrolled at Santa Monica College intending to study medicine but dropped out after a year to pursue acting.
