Ad Astra is a 2019 English-language Sci-Fi Thriller motion picture written by James Gray and Ethan Gross. The movie is directed by James Gray and produced by Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, James Gray, Anthony Katagas, Doug Torres, Brad Pitt, Arnon Milchan and Rodrigo Teixeira under the banner of 20th Century Fox in collaboration with Regency Enterprises, Bona Film Group, New Regency, Plan B Entertainment, RT Features, Keep Your Head Productions and MadRiver Pictures. Astronaut Roy McBride undertakes a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe. Ad astra features Brad Pitt, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga, Liv Tyler, Donald Sutherland, Kimmy Shields and Robert J. Yowell. The music was composed by Max Richter along with Lorne Balfe. Cinematography was done by Hoyte van Hoytema and editing by John Axelrad and Lee Haugen. The motion picture has a running time of 124 minutes. It was released on 19th September 2019. The Film was successful at box office. Ad Astra was made on a budget of $90 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $132 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by 20th Century Fox.
