Early Man is a 2018 English-language Animation Adventure motion picture written and directed by Nick Park and produced by Richard Beek, Nick Park, David Sproxton, Peter Lord and Carla Shelley under the banner of Aardman Animations in collaboration with BFI. Set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth, Early Man tells the story of Dug, along with sidekick Hognob as they unite his tribe against a mighty enemy Lord Nooth and his Bronze Age City to save their home. Early man stars Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston, Maisie Williams, Timothy Spall, Miriam Margolyes, Rob Brydon and Jaime Aymerich. The screenplay is written by Mark Burton and James Higginson. The music was composed by Harry Gregson-williams along with Tom Howe. Cinematography was done by Dave Alex Riddett and editing by Sim Evan-Jones. The movie has a running time of 87 minutes. It was released on 8th March 2018. Early Man was made on a budget of $50 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $54 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by StudioCanal UK.
