Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum is a 2018 Korean-language Horror Mystery movie written by Jung Bum-shik and Park Sang-min. The movie is directed by Jung Bum-shik and produced by Kim Won-kuk under the banner of Hive Mediacorp. An internet broadcaster recruits a handful of people for their 'experience the horror' show at Gonjiam. They are to explore the haunted asylum and stream it live on the show. To attract viewers, the show hosts play tricks on the guests, but things start to get out of hand when they are inside the place, where tortured souls could really be lurking in the shadows. Gonjiam: haunted asylum features Wi Ha-joon in the lead role along with Park Ji-hyun, Oh Ah-yeon, Moon Ye-won, Park Sung-hoon, Yoo Je-yoon and Lee Seung-wook in supporting roles. Cinematography was done by Yoon Byung-ho. The movie has a running time of 91 minutes. It was released on 19th April 2018. The Film was successful at box office. Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum was made on a budget of ₹22 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of $20 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Warner Bros.
