Gundala is a 2019 Indonesian-language Action Adventure motion picture written and directed by Joko Anwar and produced by Sukhdev Singh, Wicky V. Olindo and Bismarka Kurniawan. Gundala features Abimana Aryasatya in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Tara Basro, Bront Palarae, Ario Bayu, Rio Dewanto, Lukman Sardi and Arswendi Nasution. The motion picture is based on Gundala Comic series by Hasmi. The music was composed by Aghi Narotama along with Bemby Gusti, Tony Merle and Hans Zimmer. Cinematography was done by Ical Tanjung and editing by Dinda Amanda. The motion picture has a running time of 123-119 minutes. It was released on 29th August 2019. The Film was successful at box office. Gundala was made on a budget of $30 billion and it was a super hit at box office gross of $67 billion. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Screenplay Films. Sancaka has lived on the streets since his parents left him. Living a hard life, Sancaka survives by thinking about his own safety. When the condition of the city gets worse and injustice rages throughout the country, Sancaka must decide whether he continues to live to look after himself or rise to become their oppressed hero.
