Kalyug is a 2005 Hindi-language Action Crime motion picture written by Jay Dixit, Anand Sivakumaran and Mohit Suri. The movie is directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt. 18 years ago, the Darr family, consisting of Pushkaran and his son, Kunal, were forced to leave Kashmir by terrorists.. Kalyug stars Emraan Hashmi in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Kunal Khemu, Smiley Suri, Deepal Shaw, Amrita Singh, Ashutosh Rana and Atul Parchure. The music was composed by Anu Malik along with Faizal Rafi & Rohail Hyat, Jal, Mithoon and Raju Singh. Cinematography was done by Rituraj Narain and editing by Amit Saxena. The film has a running time of 126 minutes. It was released on 9th December 2005. The Film was successful at box office. Kalyug was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹7 crore. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Vishesh Films.
