Kempa is a 2009 Kannada-language Drama motion picture written by Anil Kumar and Mrugashira Shrikanth. The movie is directed by Sudeep and produced by Shankar Gowda and Halappa under the banner of Shankar Productions. Kempa features Sudeep, Ragini Dwivedi, P. Ravi Shankar, Sharan, Girish Karnad, Ashok Kheny and Santhosh. The screenplay is written by Sudeep which is inspired from Singam by Hari. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Gurukiran Shetty along with Arjun Janya. Cinematography was done by Krishna and editing by N.M. Vishwa. The motion picture has a running time of 141 minutes. It was released on 9th January 2009. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Shankar Productions.
