Maahir is a 1996 Hindi-language Family film written by Talat Rekhi and Talat Rakhi. The movie is directed by Lawrence D'souza and produced by Harish Barot and Shailaish Agarwaal under the banner of Monang Films International. Kamini Rai is apprehended by the police on the charges of drugs smuggling and is subsequently sentence to several years in jail.. Maahir stars Hema Malini in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Govinda, Farha Naaz, Raj Babbar, Anupam Kher, Ranjit Barot and Alok Nath. The music was composed by Bappi Lahiri. Cinematography was done by Lawrence D'Souza and editing by A.R. Rajendran. The motion picture has a running time of 129 minutes. It was released on 26th July 1996.
