Maya Angelou and Still I Rise is a 2016 English-language Documentary Biography motion picture written by Paul W.s. Anderson and directed by Bob Hercules, Rita Coburn Whack and Paul W.s. Anderson. The first feature documentary about the remarkable writer, poet, actress, activist Maya Angelou. Maya angelou and still i rise features Milla Jovovich in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Sienna Guillory, Oded Fehr, Ali Larter, Cicely Tyson, Guy Johnson and Diahann Carroll. The motion picture is based on Resident Evil by Capcom. The music was composed by Marco Beltrami along with Marilyn Manson, Jeff Danna, Charlie Clouser, Tomandandy and Paul Haslinger. It was released on 14th October 2016 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Screen Gems.
