The Double is a 2011 English-language Action Crime film written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas. The movie is directed by Richard Ayoade and Michael Brandt and produced by Ashok Amritraj under the banner of Hyde Park Entertainment in collaboration with Imagenation Abu Dhabi. A retired CIA operative is paired with a young FBI agent to unravel the mystery of a senator's murder, with all signs pointing to a Soviet assassin. The double stars Richard Gere, Topher Grace, Stephen Moyer, Odette Yustman, Stana Katic, Chris Marquette and Ron Zill. The music was composed by John Debney. Cinematography was done by Jeffrey L. Kimball and editing by Steve Mirkovich. The film has a running time of 98 minutes. It was released on 28th October 2011. The Double was made on a budget of $17 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Image Entertainment.
