The Figurine is a 2009 English-language Thriller film written by Kemi Adesoye and directed by Kunle Afolayan and produced by Golden Effects under the banner of Golden Effects Studios in collaboration with Jungle FilmWorks. The synopsis of Figurine (Araromire) shows that it is a story of two buddies and a girl..all down on their luck have their lives changed when one of them discovers 'Araromire' a mysterious figurine in an abandoned shrine which, according to legend bestows seven years of good luck. But no one told them about the next seven years.. Written by kunle Afolayan. The figurine stars Ramsey Nouah in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Omoni Oboli, Kunle Afolayan, Funlola Aofiyebi-raimi, Tosin Sido, Wale Adebayo and Kate Adepegba. The music was composed by Eilam Hoffman along with Wale Waves. Cinematography was done by Yinka Edward and editing by Kayode Adeleke and Steve Sodiya. The movie has a running time of 122 minutes. It was released on 2nd October 2009 in English and Yoruba languages. The Figurine was made on a budget of ₦50 million and at the box office it grossed only ₦30 million. Distribution rights for the film were acquired by Golden Effects Pictures.
