The Imitation Game is a story about a Mathematical genius Alan Turing who with the help of his fellow mathematicians tries to crack the German code during World War II. The screenplay was written by Graham Moore. The film's screenplay topped the annual Blacklist for the best non-Hollywood scripts of 2011. The film was produced by Nora Grossman, Ido Ostrowsky and Teddy Schwarzman and directed by Morten Tyldum. This 2014 historical drama stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Mathew Goode, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, and Mark Strong. Alex Lawther and Benedict Cumberbatch who have played the role of young and old Alan Turing respectively have worn dentures similar to Alan Turing’s set of false teeth. Clear cut editing by William Goldenberg and adept cinematography by Oscar Faura makes it a watchable movie. It was released on November 28, 2014, and was distributed by The Weinstein Company. The music was composed by Alexandre Desplat. The film was made on a budget of $14 million and it collected $233.6 million at the box office.
