The Talk of Hollywood is a 1929 English-language Comedy Drama film written by Nat Carr, Mark Sandrich and Darby Aaronson. The movie is directed by Mark Sandrich and produced by Samuel Zierler under the banner of Prudence Pictures. Schlock-movie producer J. Pierpont Ginsburg, after declaring, in a Yiddish accent, that talking pictures are in their infantry, decides to put all of his savings into a big-budgeted musical, starring the sensation of Paris (with a bad French accent), Adore Renee, and a swishy leading man, Reginald Whitlock. Meanwhile, his daughter, Judy Ginsburg, gets involved in a romance with Ginsburg's Gentile lawyer, John Applegate. His efforts aren't helped any by the projectionist who mixes up the sound-disc reels, with the images not matching the dialogue and sound effects, during a showing for prospective film buyers and exhibitors. Written by Les Adams. The talk of hollywood stars Nat Carr, Fay Marbe, Hope Sutherland, Sherling Oliver, Edward Lesaint, Gilbert Marbe and Tom O'brien. The music was composed by Al Goodman. Cinematography was done by Walter Strenge and editing by Russell G. Shields. The motion picture has a running time of 70 minutes. It was released on 9th December 1929. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Sono Art-World Wide Pictures.
