The Wave is a 2015 Norwegian-language Action Drama motion picture written by John K Re Raake and Harald Rosenl W-eeg. The movie is directed by Roar Uthaug and produced by Are Heidenstorm under the banner of Film V st. Although anticipated, no one is really ready when the mountain pass above the scenic, narrow Norwegian fjord Geiranger collapses and creates an 85-meter high violent tsunami. A geologist is one of those caught in the middle of it. The wave features Kristoffer Joner in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Ane Dahl Torp, Jonas Hoff Oftebro, Edith Haagenrud-sande, Fridtjov S Heim, Thomas Bo Larsen and Fridtjov Såheim. The music was composed by Magnus Beite. Cinematography was done by John Christian Rosenlund and editing by Christian Siebenherz. The film has a running time of 105 minutes. It was released on 28th August 2015. The Film was successful at box office. The Wave was made on a budget of $6 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $12 million. Distribution rights for the motion picture were acquired by Nordisk Filmdistribusjon.
