Trapped is a 2002 English-language Action Crime film written by Greg Iles and directed by Luis Mandoki and produced by Mark Canton, Luis Mandoki and Mimi Polk Gitlin under the banner of Mandolin Entertainment in collaboration with Propaganda Films. The Jennings' fight for their daughters life after she is kidnapped by an experienced gang of thieves. Trapped features Charlize Theron in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Courtney Love, Stuart Townsend, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Fanning, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Steve Rankin. The music was composed by John Ottman. Cinematography was done by Frederick Elmes and Piotr Sobocinski and editing by Gerald B. Greenberg. The movie has a running time of 106 minutes. It was released on 20th September 2002. Trapped was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. Distribution rights for the movie were acquired by Columbia Pictures.
