Upendra is a 1999 Kannada-language Drama Thriller motion picture written and directed by Upendra and produced by Shilpa Srinivas under the banner of Srinivasa Productions. This is a psychological thriller movie about a man who calls himself as Naanu (Me). It explores the human needs and greeds in the form of a metaphorical comparison to the three female characters in the movie. Upendra stars Upendra, Raveena Tandon, Prema, Damini, Dhamini and Bhawani. The screenplay is written by Upendra. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Gurukiran Shetty. Cinematography was done by A.V. Krishna Kumar and editing by T. Shashi kumar. The movie has a running time of 138 minutes. It was released on 1st January 1999. The Film was successful at box office. Upendra was made on a budget of ₹70 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹35 crore.
