Virumandi is a 2004 Tamil-language Action Drama movie written and directed by Kamal Haasan and produced by Chandra Haasan, Kamal Haasan and Chandrahasan under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International. The film revolves around the interview of two prison inmates, firstly, Kothala Thevar's life sentence, and secondly, Virumaandi , who is sentenced to be hanged. Virumandi features Kamal Haasan in the title role along with an ensemble cast including Abhirami Suresh, Pasupathy Ramasaamy, Napoleon Duraisamy, Bala Singh, Nasser and Rohini.
