Jevargi (Kannada: ) is a panchayat town in Gulbarga district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is also the headquarters of the Jevargi Taluk. Jewargi is located at 1701N 7646E / 17.02N 76.77E / 17.02; 76.77. It has an average elevation of 393metres (1289ft). The town is spread over an area of 4.25km. Jewargi Taluk borders Afzalpur Taluk of Gulbarga district and Gulbarga Taluk of Gulbarga district to the north, Chitapur Taluk of Gulbarga district to the east, Shahpur Taluk of Gulbarga district to the south-east, Shorapur Taluk of Gulbarga district to the south and Sindgi Taluk of Bijapur district to the west.
