Kushmandi (community development block) (Bengali: ) is an administrative division in Gangarampur subdivision of Dakshin Dinajpur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Kushmandi police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Kushmandi. Kushmandi is located at 253120N 882126E / 25.52236N 88.357269E / 25.52236; 88.357269. Kushmandi community development block has an area of 310.50 km. The Tangon River flows through the Kushmandi block. Gram panchayats of Kushmandi block/ panchayat samiti are: Akcha, Berail, Deul, Kalikamora, Karanji, Kushmondi, Maligaon and Udaypur. As per 2001 census, Kushmandi block had a total population of 175,047, out of which 89,150 were males and 85,897 were females. Kushmandi block registered a population growth of 21.16 per cent during the 1991-2001 decade. Decadal growth for the district was 22.11 per cent.Decadal growth in West Bengal was 17.84 per cent.
