Martur or Maruturu is a village and a Mandal in Prakasam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. Martur is located at 155800N 800600E / 15.9667N 80.1000E / 15.9667; 80.1000. It has an average elevation of 30 meters (101 feet). The population consist of Hindus, Muslims and Christians. The town is administered by the Gram Panchayat (Village administrative unit) for sanitation etc. The Mandal parishat and Zilla parishat control a few subjects such as education under their control.
