Motipur is a town and a notified area in Muzaffarpur district in the Indian state of Bihar. Motipur is located 102 kilometres (63mi) north of Patna, 30 kilometres (19mi) north of Muzaffarpur & 54 kilometres (34mi) south of Motihari. National Highway 28 passes through Motipur.
