Pallipalayam () is a sub-urban town in Namakkal district, India. It is located across the city of Erode, besides the Kaveri River. It falls under Tiruchengode sub-district and Komarapalayam Legislative Constituency and Erode Parliamentary Constituency. The panchayat was constituted in the year 1963, and it was upgraded to Third Grade Municipality on October 7, 2004.. It has a population of 35,635 (2001 census) and an extent area of 4.70km. The town is divided into 21 wards. Pallipalayam is the birth place of the mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. Until 2010, this locality came under the Integrated Erode Urban Agglomeration. But as per 2011 Census alignments, Pallipalayam and its surroundings has been moved to Komarapalayam Urban Agglomeration, which is having a population of around 2 Lakhs.
