Sakoli (Marathi: ) is a town, a tehsil and a municipal council in Bhandara district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Sakoli is located at 21.08N,79.98E2105N 7959E / 21.08N 79.98E / 21.08; 79.98. It has an average elevation of 233metres (767feet). It is located on Hajira - Kolkatta National Highway 6. Sakoli is well surrounded by lake, ponds, and hills[of small to medium heights]. Approximately two to three km from the city 'Chulbhand' river flows. During monsoon water level goes beyond a limit and flooding is an usual but an eloquent view. The 'Gondumari Palace' is just 10km away from the city. It is of historical importance due to the presence of JAMINDARI kingdom--memorials of them can still be found today.
