Shahpura is a city and a municipality in Bhilwara district in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Shahpura is located at 25.63N 74.93E.[1] It has an average elevation of 364 metres (1194 feet). As of 2001 India census,[2] Shahpura had a population of 27,698. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Shahpura has an average literacy rate of 61%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 50%. In Shahpura, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
