BIOGRAPHY

Hugh John Mungo Grant professionally known as Hugh Grant made his debut as an actor in the film Privileged (1982). It was in 1994 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the film Four Weddings and a Funeral. There was no turning back after that and Grant at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Venice Film Festival: Volpi Cup for Best Actor for Maurice which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Grants career so far are Maurice (1987), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Notting Hill (1999), Mickey Blue Eyes (1999), Bridget Joness Diary (2001), About a Boy (2002), American Dreamz (2006), Cloud Atlas (2012), The Remains of the Day (1993), Sense and Sensibility (1995), Florence Foster Jenkins (2016), and Paddington 2 (2017) to name a few. Grant son of Fynvola Susan MacLean and Captain James Murray Grant was born on 9 September 1960 at Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith, London. He attended Hogarth Primary School in Chiswick, St Peters Primary School in Hammersmith, Wetherby School, and Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith. He joined New College, Oxford with a scholarship and studied English and he graduated with 2:1 honors from there.
