BIOGRAPHY

Thomas Jacob Black professionally known as Jack Black made his debut as an actor in Life Goes On (1993). It was in 2000 that he gained recognition as an actor with the movie High Fidelity which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Supporting Actor - Comedy/Romance for High Fidelity which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Jacks career so far are High Fidelity (2000), Shallow Hal (2001), School of Rock (2003), King Kong (2005), Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny (2006), The Holiday (2006), the Kung Fu Panda franchise (2008–2016), Tropic Thunder (2008), Gullivers Travels (2010), Bernie (2011), Goosebumps (2015), Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) to name a few. Thomas Jacob Black son of satellite engineers Thomas William Black and Judith Love Cohen was born on August 28, 1969, in Santa Monica, California. He attended Poseidon School and Crossroads School. He then joined the University of California, Los Angeles but dropped out during his sophomore year to pursue a career in entertainment.
