Barbary Coast is a 1935 English-language Adventure Drama motion picture written by Edward Chodorov, Ben Hecht, Stephen Longstreet and Charles Macarthur. The movie is directed by Howard Hawks and produced by Samuel Goldwyn under the banner of Samuel Goldwyn Productions. Mary Rutledge arrives from the east, finds her fiance dead, and goes to work at the roulette wheel of Louis Charnalis' Bella Donna.. Barbary coast features Miriam Hopkins in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Edward G. Robinson, Joel Mccrea, Frank Craven, Walter Brennan, Brian Donlevy and Clyde Cook. The music was composed by Alfred Newman. Cinematography was done by Ray June and editing by Edward Curtiss.
